Whale Shark Snorkel
Swim beside a whale shark — the largest fish in the ocean, reaching ten metres, and entirely harmless. Between June and September the Mexican Caribbean hosts the largest gathering of these animals anywhere in the world, and you head out by boat into open water to meet them with seasoned guides at your side. They glide past close enough to see the pattern on their skin. Numbers in the water are limited by law and only a set number of boats sail each day, so this is booked ahead rather than on the day.
